If a recipe includes the magic words “chicken” and “parm,” I’m already halfway to the table. These pull-apart chicken parm sliders deliver all the melty cheese, juicy chicken, and savory marinara you crave—and then go a step further with a bright layer of pesto. Store‑bought frozen chicken nuggets keep things quick (and keep the kitchen tidy), so you can get a hot, fully loaded batch of two-bite sandwiches on the table without breaking a sweat. They’re a guaranteed game-day winner (serve them with salad nachos for balance 😉), and just as tasty for lunch or as an after‑school snack. Got a few extra minutes? Whip up a simple homemade pesto or marinara and send them right over the top.

Ingredients

  • 12

    frozen chicken nuggets

  • 2 Tbsp.

    grated parmesan cheese

  • 1

    (12-pack) dinner rolls

  • 12

slices mozzarella cheese (about 8 ounces)

  • 3/4 cup

    marinara sauce

  • 1/4 cup

    prepared pesto

  • 2 Tbsp.

    salted butter, melted

  • 1/2 tsp.

    garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp.

    Italian seasoning

Directions

    1. Step 1Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Put the chicken nuggets on the baking sheet, sprinkle with 1 tablespoon parmesan, and bake according to the package directions.
    2. Step 2Split the dinner rolls in half horizontally with a long serrated knife, keeping the rolls attached. Slide the nuggets to the side of the pan and place the roll bottoms on the baking sheet, cut-side up. Top with 6 slices of mozzarella to cover, tearing the cheese as needed to fit. Top each roll bottom with a chicken nugget and some marinara sauce. Cover with the remaining mozzarella. Spread the pesto on the cut side of the roll tops, then place on top of the sliders.
    3. Step 3Preheat the oven to 375˚F. Combine the melted butter, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning in a small bowl. Brush on the roll tops and sprinkle with the remaining 1 tablespoon parmesan. Bake until the mozzarella is melted and the rolls are golden, 10 to 12 minutes.
