If you haven’t had Skyline chili yet, this dip is a delicious introduction. It’s not quite the same as the Cincinnati classic, but it captures those beloved flavors and turns them into a hot, cheesy, melty crowd‑pleaser. Serve it up on game day with honey barbecue wings and air-fryer taquitos for a spread that keeps hungry fans happy. It’s perfectly saucy, gooey, and oh‑so‑dippable—just add the chips and dig in!

What is Skyline dip?

This dip is inspired by the popular Cincinnati dish known as Skyline chili. The meaty chili gets its cozy, warm flavor from seasonings like cinnamon and cloves. It's usually served over spaghetti or spread onto a hot dog and topped with a mountain of shredded orange cheddar cheese.

This dip takes the foundational ingredients of meaty, bean-free chili, and shredded cheddar and adds softened cream cheese for a rich and creamy base. Everything gets baked into a hot and bubbling dip.

What do you dip into Skyline dip?

Serve this appetizer with tortilla chips or pita chips for dunking. You want something sturdy, salty, and crunchy to hold up all that hot chili.

Can you use homemade chili?

If you happen to have leftover chili hanging around, this is the perfect way to put it to use. Texas chili would be delicious in this dip, because it's loaded with beef and is bean-free.

Can you make Skyline dip ahead of time?

You can prepare this layered dip a day or two ahead of time without baking it. Cover the dish tightly with plastic wrap and keep it in the refrigerator, then pop it in the oven just before serving.
