Ingredients

  • 8

    slices bacon

  • 2 lb.

    ground beef

  • 1/4 cup

    heavy cream

  • 6

dashes Worcestershire sauce (or less if you prefer!)

  • 1 tsp.

    kosher salt

  • Black pepper, to taste

  • 8

    slider buns, split

  • Ketchup and mayonnaise, for serving

  • 8

small leaves romaine lettuce, cut in half

  • 2

    Roma tomatoes, thinly sliced

Directions

    1. Step 1Preheat the broiler. Fry the bacon in a large skillet over medium-high heat until slightly crisp, about 8 minutes. Drain on a paper towel–lined plate and break each strip in half.
    2. Step 2Combine the ground beef, heavy cream, Worcestershire sauce, salt and a few grinds of pepper in a bowl and mix thoroughly with your hands. Form into 16 patties, about 3 inches in diameter. Place on a broiler pan or a wire rack set on a rimmed baking sheet.
    3. Step 3Broil the patties until just cooked through, 4 to 5 minutes, rotating the pan halfway through. Spread the slider buns with ketchup and mayonnaise. Place the patties on the buns and top with the lettuce, tomato and bacon. Skewer with toothpicks.
